‘Miskawaan resort’ is an exclusive collection of 9 luxury beachfront villas located on beautiful Maenam Beach, on the island of Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand. The design and detail of the Villas themselves leaves nothing to be desired and is fully complemented by the lush tropical landscape that has been created around them - and around the myriad of private courtyards, water features and secluded integrated interior/exterior spaces that exist in the complex. Our first meeting at ‘Miskawaan’ included meeting with and being briefed by the owners of the resort, who were very passionate about achieving the best possible landscape result for their development. The extensive landscaping, based on our wide horticultural knowledge of plants suitable for this hot, exposed tropical environment, was then designed by us back in our Sydney office. Our next visit to Koh Samui included presenting our final design to our Clients and then visiting some of the local nurseries on Koh Samui and on the mainland to select and reserve the specific plants required for this very exciting project. As can be seen in the images, the many thousands of trees, palms, shrubs, ground covers and accent plants have not taken long to establish themselves.
