Putney Park

Putney Park is a major regional park located on the foreshores of the Parramatta River. Designed by our office following our specific engagement by Ryde City Council, the park and recreational facilities include large scale (one, two and three storey high) steel and timber access and play structures, including an extended tube slide, soft-fall play areas and oversized artworks in primary shapes and colours; a series of semi-natural ponds, cascades and shallow waterplay areas, located in a raised ‘fortress-type’ area; a large ‘spider’s web’ climbing structure and lookout, set in a sand-covered circular play area; barbeque and picnic facilities, with adjacent integrated shade structures; general passive and active recreation areas, including cycleways and jogging tracks; carparking and stormwater catchment facilities, plus extensive areas of natural revegetation.
